Cream cheese Spinach Pasta
20 minutes

4-5 servings

Cream cheese pasta with spinach is a delightful dish that perfectly combines the creamy richness of cream cheese with the vibrant freshness of spinach. The pasta, cooked al dente, serves as a satisfying base, while the cream cheese adds a smooth and velvety texture that clings to each strand. Fresh spinach, lightly sautéed to preserve its bright green color and nutrients, brings an earthy flavor that complements the creaminess. This creamy pasta is not only delicious but also very quick to prepare, making it an excellent choice for a busy weeknight dinner. Garnished with a touch of black pepper and perhaps a lemon twist, this dish is a comforting yet sophisticated meal that will impress family and friends alike. Enjoy it warm, and savor each creamy bite with a side of crusty bread.
Ingredients:
400 grams uncooked pasta
600 grams fresh spinach
400 grams herbs cream cheese
3 cloves garlic
1 big white onion (or 2 small ones)
salt & pepper to taste
Cheese to sprinkle on top (optional)
Directions:
Step 1: Bring your salted water to a boil and cook the pasta following the directions from the packaging.
Step 2: Cut your onions in small cubes and grate your garlic, heat these up in a pan with a little bit of oil/butter.
Step 3: Wash your spinach and add them little by little to the pan with your onions, keep adding and stirring till all your spinach is soft.
Step 4:
When the spinach is done, add the cream cheese and a little bit of pasta water and let it melt to a sauce.
(How much pasta water you add is up to your own preference, I only add a little because I like a thick sauce.)
Step 5: When the sauce is done add your pasta and mix it all together.
Step 8:
Serve with some sprinkled cheese on top and enjoy!!
