Layered between sheets of tender waffles, this indulgent dish features rich flavors such as custard, fresh berries and a hint of vanilla creating a luscious bite that melts in your mouth. Ingredients:
Strawberries
Blueberries
1,5 tsp Vanilla essence
Waffles (if you like you can use my recipe for Homemade waffles)
Custard (Recipe for homemade custard is below the directions)
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat your oven at 200degrees/ farenheit
Step 2: Lay your waffles down at the bottom of your dish.
Step 3: Glaze your waffles all over with 1/3 of the custard and cover it with a layer of blueberries and strawberries.
Step 4: Place another layer of waffles on top and repeat step 3. Keep stacking your waffles, custard and fruits until your dish is filled to the top.
Step 5: Put your dish in the oven for about 20 minutes. OPTIONAL: Save some fresh berries to garnish your dish with when it comes out of the oven.
Step 6: When your breakfast lasagna is done its time to plate and enjoy! You can serve it just like this or make it extra special by adding a scoop of icecream or some whipped cream on top!
